Community Survey to Help Shape Future of Westfield Memorial Library

Westfield, NJ – March 9, 2026 – The Westfield Memorial Library is inviting residents to share their ideas and perspectives through a new community survey that will help guide the Library’s upcoming strategic plan.

The survey marks an important step in the Library’s strategic planning process, which will establish priorities and goals for the next three years. Community feedback will help inform decisions about library services, programs, collections, technology, and the ways the Library can best serve Westfield residents.

The survey is open to all residents, including both current library users and those who may not regularly visit the Library. Responses will help ensure that the strategic plan reflects the evolving needs, interests, and aspirations of the community.

“Libraries exist to serve their communities, and the most important part of planning for the future is listening,” said Library Director Allen McGinley. “We encourage everyone in Westfield to take a few minutes to share their thoughts. Whether you visit the Library every week or haven’t been in years, your perspective matters.”

The survey asks participants about how they currently use the Library, what services they value most, and what new programs or resources they would like to see in the future. Responses will be collected anonymously and will be reviewed alongside additional community input gathered through focus groups and stakeholder interviews.

The survey is available online and will remain open for several weeks. Paper copies are also available by request at the Library for those who prefer to complete the survey in person.

Community members are encouraged to participate and help shape the next chapter of the Westfield Memorial Library.
