Cardstar is an app that stores your Westfield Library barcode (or any other barcode) on your mobile device. Click here for access.
To set up Cardstar on your mobile device you must choose “Create new card…” and then label the new card “WML” or “Westfield Library.”
You can also get Apps for some of our databases so you can have quick remote access.
EBSCO’s databases are a comprehensive selection of scholarly articles, popular articles, encyclopedias, and more. There are different databases for students doing their own research. (The WML also subscribes to EBSCO’s ebook service).
For Apps to use EBSCO’s databases, please go to our library’s EBSCO page, click on the “EBSCOhost iPhone and Android Applications” link at the very bottom. Enter an email, then open the email while on your mobile device to download the App and activate it. After that you can search EBSCO databases.
Gale databases are particularly good for newspaper articles and literary research.
cloudLibrary is an app that enables users in the Library to check out items to themselves using their smartphone.
This resource has a comprehensive collection of fiction and non-fiction ebooks. Freading’s titles are always available. Patrons can now borrow up to three books per week. Unused book allotment will be rolled over to the next week and up to three subsequent weeks. (Freading does not have eAudiobooks)
This collection contains popular fiction and non-fiction eAudiobooks and ebooks, and a great selection of comics. The site includes “trending searches” and new titles are added constantly. All titles are always available, so no need to put yourself on waiting lists! Hoopla is available for Apple, Android, and Kindle devices. Patrons can borrow up to six total items from Hoopla per month.

RBDigital is an excellent collection of downloadable audiobooks. It contains over 260 bestselling titles in Mystery, Fiction, and Non-Fiction. You can search the titles in our library’s catalog, or through the RBDigital website. The titles can be downloaded for a 21-day time period.
