When you are in the Westfield Memorial Library you can always stop by at the reference desk to request an item via InterLibrary Loan. You may also call in an InterLibrary Loan request at any time the WML is open.
If you wish to submit a request online, you can use a website called JerseyCat! This site is where you may request books, Books-on-CD, or DVDs from other libraries that our library doesn’t own. These are the guidelines you must follow.
We will make every effort to fulfill requests, but note that requests will take at least 2 – 3 weeks to fulfill, and not every title may be available. BOCDs and DVDs may take longer as not every library loans out these items. Also, patrons who have overdue books cannot use this service.
Inter-library loan is for full-service cardholders. You must be a Westfield resident, Works in town, or Purchased cardholder. If you are a MURAL cardholder, please make requests through your hometown library
Requests for ILL items are limited to three (3) requests per day
This service is for requests of items we do not own in our collection. Please check our catalog first before placing a request through ILL. If it is checked out, place yourself on Hold for the item
Do not request items that have been published within six (6) months. All of the libraries have New Book sections available for their patrons. This service is not for new title requests
M.U.R.A.L. — Middlesex Union Reciprocal Agreement Libraries
Please call ahead to any MURAL Library to determine what library services are available to MURAL patrons at present.
To see which library(ies) have a book you want, use the JerseyCat website (the same website you would use for an InterLibrary Loan request).
