Westfield Memorial Library has encountered unexpected issues with (2) of our most popular mobile apps – LMxPress Plus and Libby, by Overdrive.
This is the app that you may have been using to search the catalog, reserve items, and view your account. Due to issues between two of the software vendors, this app has stopped working, and is impacting library customers across the country.
We encourage you to use the mobile catalog to search, reserve items, and view your account, while we work to restore the app’s functionality.
Libby, by Overdrive
This is one of the apps that you may use to borrow and read eBooks and eAudiobooks. You must now log-in to Libby by selecting “Libraries of Middlesex Automation Consortium” followed by your Westfield Memorial Library card number.
If you made this change last spring when we joined LMxAC, you may not encounter any issues now. But if you did not previously log-in to the app by selecting Libraries of Middlesex Automation Consortium as your library, you will need to do so now.
Please note that you must have an active library card in order to use Libby and the library’s other digital platforms. If your library card has expired, you can renew it at the library’s front desk. If you do not have a library card, you can apply online.
We apologize for any inconvenience that either of these issues may have caused, and we will work to avoid similar issues in the future.
