All LMxAC member libraries – including Westfield – will be experiencing an upcoming system upgrade. The result will be making it easier to search the library catalog, find new materials, and improve your overall library experience.
The new catalog will be more intuitive and user friendly, and will make it easier than ever to find what youāre looking for, manage your account, and to discover new things along the way!
What follows is a collection of the things you need to know about the new system and how weāre rolling it out, so check back often to learn the latest and greatest news, important dates, and any steps you may need to take during this process. While some interruption is unavoidable, we hope to minimize any disruption that the upgrade will cause. We anticipate the impact to be limited to June 4-12.

Selecting Desired Format
With the new rollup capability, you can select your desired format directly from the search results. Tabs will indicate formats such as book, large print, eBook, eAudiobook, and more, for easy selection.

Author Details
Clicking on the author’s name anywhere in the new catalog brings up a page with biographical information, books and resources written by the author, items of related topics, and more!

Series
Another helpful feature in the new catalog is that when you’re viewing details about a book that is part of a series, you’ll easily be able to find other books in that same series.

FAQ
Will I need a new library card?
No. Your existing library card will work with the new system.
Can I continue using the mobile app during the migration?
Yes. The app provides an easy way to store your library card, search the catalog, and more. When the new catalog arrives, your app will be upgraded to a new version with more features, customized for your library. You won’t need to install anything new, just ensure that your app is updated to the latest version.
