Dear Westfield Memorial Library Patrons and Community Members,
As the Thanksgiving holiday approaches, we have so much to be thankful for in our community.

I’d like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to Westfield’s Police Department, Fire Department, and all other emergency services who keep us safe and secure when we need them.
The Westfield Regional Health Department has done a tremendous job with helping to guide us through the Covid-19 health pandemic, and I thank them for continuing to give residents critical community access to Covid vaccines.
Thank you to Township Administrator Jim Gildea, the Public Works Department, and ALL of the Town of Westfield departments for their work – largely behind the scenes – to keep our community running so well.
I want to extend my appreciation to the Town of Westfield Human Relations Advisory Council (HRAC), the Green Team, and ALL of the Town boards, commissions, and advisory councils that harness the extraordinary talents of Westfield residents to make our community the engaged, dynamic, and innovative place that it is.
I can’t imagine our community without the Westfield Schools, Rotary Club of Westfield, our houses of worship, and ALL of the other clubs, groups, and organizations that lead a life of service by example.
And finally, thank you to Mayor Shelley Brindle, and the Town Council for their leadership and all of their efforts to serve the residents of Westfield, and make the best decisions possible for the entire community.
No community is without challenges, but everywhere you look in Westfield, you will see examples of service, and individuals putting the needs of others before their own.
Have a very happy Thanksgiving! And as always, if there is anything the library can do to better meet your needs, please do not hesitate to reach out to me at amcginley@wmlnj.org or 908-789-4090 ext 4119.
Sincerely,
Allen McGinley
