Juliette is a teenage girl born with a curse: with only one touch, she can bestow unimaginable pain upon anything living. Her parents abandon her at a mental asylum, not wanting to deal with this issue. Now, Juliette must navigate through a world from which she has been isolated from for years with a man named Adam who can somehow touch her without going through that pain. All the while, she tries to avoid the clutches of Warner whose intentions are unknown.
I love the tension and the high stakes that are consistent throughout theĀ book and how theĀ romance is structured around that. Overall, this book is amazing and very well written. I highly recommendĀ this book. Reviewed by Gayatri C.
