Are you a friend of the library? The Friends of the Library are a 501(c)3 nonprofit all-volunteer support group that raise funds and advocate for improved library services in Westfield.
Not only are the Friends of the Westfield Memorial Library celebrating their 50th Anniversary this year, but October 16-22, 2022 is National Friends of the Library Week!

Since their founding in 1972, the Friends of the Library have contributed more than $1 million to the Westfield Memorial Library. They were also instrumental in helping fund the construction of the current library building in 1988.
Our library would not be what it is without the support of the Friends. The funds they raise help to support a number of programs and services, including the library’s robust Museum Pass program.
Their fundraising efforts will be on full display next week when they host their annual children’s and teen book sale October 26-29 in the library’s meeting room.

I want to end with a heartfelt thank you to Co-Presidents Harriet Davidson and Mary Ellen O’Boyle, the Executive Board, and the entire membership of the Friends of the Westfield Memorial Library.
