Pippa Fitz-Amobi is a very curious girl, who throughout the book investigates a case that occurred 5 years ago in her town. This school project leads Pip to an adventurous search for the true murderer of Andie Bell, where she finds out that everything is connected, making her suspicious even about her friends, and family. The fact that Pip knew Sal close enough, did not make her believe that he was capable of murdering his own girlfriend. Going against the entire town, the girl uses the help of Salās young brother, Ravi, to solve the mystery that gets bigger in every chapter of the book.
This suspense/romance book shows the importance of not accepting what everyone says, and having the bravery to achieve your goals when no one is believing in you. It also invites the readers to seek for a deeper understanding, with a thrilling web of lies and secrets. The highlighted aspects of justice, and the idea that appearances can be deceiving, made the trilogy, with 2 other books continuing the story, with even more suspense cases.
I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who likes to read about charactersā stories that can keep you hooked to the series of surprises, and that makes you feel thrilled with the plot, making you question what will happen next. This book is my favorite so far in 3 years, and itās definitely worth reading. I would rate it as a 10 out of 10.
